From zero to a working personal dashboard in about 10 minutes. Here's everything you need and every step to get there.
MyCapsul/ directory inside it.MyCapsul ships as a Cowork plugin โ a small package that teaches Claude how to be your personal life assistant.
Get the mycapsul.plugin file from MyCapsul.com. It's a single file โ no unzipping, no installers.
Double-click the .plugin file. Claude Desktop will open and ask you to confirm the installation. Click Install. That's it โ the plugin is now part of your Claude setup.
With the plugin installed, you're one conversation away from a working dashboard.
Open a new Cowork session in Claude Desktop. When prompted, select a folder on your computer โ this is where MyCapsul will live. Your agent creates a MyCapsul/ directory inside it with everything: your dashboard, Seed files, _inbox/ drop folder, and agent config.
Type /setup-capsul or just say "set up my Capsul". Your agent will scaffold the workspace and start the onboarding conversation.
When your dashboard opens for the first time, a 5-step setup wizard appears. It walks you through your name, color palette, schedule type, key people, life areas, and financial tracking preferences. Takes about 2 minutes. Every step is skippable โ your agent picks up anything you skip in your first conversation.
After setup, you'll have a file called mycapsul.html in your folder. Open it in any web browser. That's your dashboard โ your personal command center, running entirely on your machine.
Setup is done. Now what? Here's how a normal session with your Capsul agent works.
Each time you want to work with your Capsul, open a Cowork session and select your MyCapsul folder. Your agent reads the handoff from your last session and picks up right where you left off.
That's it. Tell your agent what's going on. "I spent $30 on lunch." "I have a meeting Thursday at 3." "My energy is low today." Your agent updates your knowledge base and dashboard in real time.
Not sure what to say? Check out the Prompt Cookbook for dozens of real examples organized by category.
When your agent makes changes, they get pushed to a sync file. Open your dashboard and it will pull in the latest data automatically. You'll see updates reflected in your tiles, calendar, budget, and everywhere else.
